The surgery is open from 9.00 until 18.30 Monday to Friday (except Wednesday when we close at 17.00.)
A receptionist is available to speak to you on the telephone before the surgery opens in the morning from 08.30.

The surgery will close some Wednesday aftenoons for training. These afternoons are arranged by Cerdigion Local Health Board for practices throughout the county. They arrange cover for urgent problems from 12 midday on those afternoons. If you telephone the surgery on the usual number your call will be transferred to an answering service.

Telephone tips

The telephone is very busy from 08.30 to 09.30 every morning when patients are making appointments. Although we have additional staff answering the phone at that time, you might have to wait for your call to be answered.
If you have a non-urgent query or request, we suggest that you call later in the morning or afternoon.

We prefer not to take requests for repeat prescription by phone. Each request takes a long time so other patients are kept waiting. Also there is less chance of a mistake being made with your prescription if your request is in writing.

In a recent survey we asked patients if they would prefer a call queuing system with music or to continue with the present system where the ringing tone is heard until the call is answered. 93% wanted to continue with the present system.
